Living Legends of the blues are not plentiful. There exist only a small handful. BB King, Hubert Sumlin, and of course Buddy Guy. These men are the blues. They have paid their dues and continue to this day doing everything they can possibly do to pass the torch to the next generation of blues players. Of the three mentioned, Buddy Guy is the youngest pushing 75 years, and continues playing and touring most of the year like he was 21 years old. His humble beginnings in Louisiana then up in Chicago have not changed him at all. I have had the privilege of seeing Buddy many times since the 80's and he still delivers a tenacious non-stop show showcasing his master of the Stratocaster and what I think are the greatest vocals in the blues today. If you have a show bench-marked to see, be sure you consider the living legend Mr. Buddy Guy.
