It is once in a blue moon that a recording comes along like this one. When you combine one of the most amazing voices on earth in Susan Tedeschi with the stellar guitar playing of one Derek Trucks, this is what you should get: -Revelator The total ensemble of the Tedeschi Trucks Band is eleven musicians that are in a word, superb. This collection is a masterpiece by producers Jim Scott & Derek Trucks. "Come See About Me" sets the tone for the record - rich and bluesy, not too over the top. Just about all genres of music are well represented on the tracks, which is a tribute to the players. "Midnight In Harlem" is just a great song with great performances head to toe."Bound For Glory" has a gospel feel with plenty of soul. "These Walls" can bring a tear with it's haunting lyrics and beautiful vocals. In the mix is a blues rocker entitled; "Learn How To Love" -Susan belts out the vocals and Derek tears it up on his vintage Gibson Firebird. This collection is cream of the crop and does not disappoint. The Tedeschi Trucks Band is now on the map. I can't wait to catch the tour coming to a town near you!
