Duke Robbilard

Make no doubt about it, Duke Robbilard is a genuine blues journeyman. Having co-founded Roomful Of Blues, and replacing Jimmy Vaughan in the Fabulous Thunderbirds, he has been steadily recording since 1978. A WC Handy winner of Best Blues Guitarist for several years, Duke is a master and can play some killer chops on a guitar that others aspire to imitate. Still at it and going strong, he is set to release yet another fine recording of blues on September 20th, entitled: Low Down and Tore Up. As usual, anticipation is high. I was fortunate enough to see Duke at a small club in Dayton Ohio -Gilly's, in 1997. Three piece blues at it's very finest! Enjoy a couple photographs from the show . . .
